From a photo I saw in some Naval Archives. Do not remember which one. One of the first battleships after the conversion from partial steam and sail to full steam. The expression became common from its use During the civil war. In 1864, Rear Admiral David G. Farragut (first 4 star Admiral) used this expression in the battle of Mobile Bay to get his Navy advance quickly. Today this expression can be used while you work on any project. So full steam ahead! A painting for some dear friends Lee and Christina. I usually don't paint from stock photos, but it was tough to get one otherwise.  

"Goliath" 16" X 20 " Acrylic on canvas.  Goliath is a fish that live in the little pond in our back yard.  Some of you may recall the Doonesbury Pond. Its a bit like that. I don't recall the name yet, but if I do I will edit it.  Its a little pond that we put a gold fish in about a year ago.  we thought he didn't make alone with his other friends. (Its a whole other story to that one) He managed to survive and grow quite big on his own after just one year.  Just made himself known one day and I thought that he deserved a painting. Now he Visits us when I give him treats and has started to recognize us.
