Mountain Cactus

Mountain Cactus
Mountain Cactus. 16" x 20 " Acrylic on pre-stretched canvas.  This was from a picture that came to me by my friend Matt Barkman.  I think it from a picture that a friend of his posted on facebook. I can't tell you exactly where it is yet, but maybe Matt will leave a comment about the location and who took the picture.  It was a lot of fun to paint.   I think if I got to see it personally, I would probably sit there a long time. What a view.  Visit my  Fine art America gallery for reprint options.

Backyard Stream

Backyard Stream
Backyard Stream, Acrylic on pre-stretched canvas.  16" X 20 " .  Thank you Kim  Legrand for letting me use the photo.  This view comes from Her brother David Waid's backyard.  Already a incredible picture before I got a hold of it.  I must admit I have a little difficulty in letting this one go. I really just enjoy looking at this painting. There is a kind of gentle serenity when I look at it.  It was a real challenge to create the different planes to make you feel the water moving and make some distance without it getting "too busy". I feel like I could put my feet in that cool stream after an long hike.  Sorry this one is not for sale.  It was spoken for before I even had a chance to take a picture of it.  Visit my Fine Art America  for canvas reprints and other merchandise. Denise's Sunrise

Denise's Sunrise
Acrylic on canvas. 18" X 18 " .  Denise's sunrise.  Thanks go to my friend Denise Vultaggio for letting me use a picture she took.  The photo itself was more than adequate in displaying what views nature can provide for us.  It was a challenge to give anything to the painting that was not already there.   So after thinking about it a lot, probably too much. I will now quote another friend who likes to say "It's all good" You know who you are.   So I just went with it sand decided to just enjoy it and not worry about it.  It ended up being a very enjoyable experience.  I am not sure if you can see it but there are actually a lot of colors in there.    I did my best to get a good picture of this painting but honestly this is truly one of those times that seeing a picture of this does not compare to the real deal.   I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did.  Visit Fine Art America
